At Hinkle, we feel it is our responsibility to take an active role in helping support our community. Hinkle is deeply rooted in its communities. We embrace the uniqueness of each of our companies, and the established local partnerships and culture are an important part of our focus. This is evident through the varied efforts across our geographical reach. From educational partnership, to veteran hiring, to charitable giving “Hinkle Helping Hands” — the parallels lie in our desire to have a positive impact in the places where we live, work, and play.
Hinkle employees are passionate about giving their time and resources to address important issues facing our local communities and as such, we created Hinkle Helping Hands. Through our fun and spirited employee Helping Hands Program, and giving throughout the year, our employees are making an impact daily in our community.

Kindergarten classes from Oak Hill Elementary School visited Hinkle's Somerset Stone. Hinkle was one of three local businesses that participated in the incentive program designed by local educators. The students were being rewarded for distinguished achievement in the classroom. While at Hinkle we talked about workplace safety and resources required for construction. Students were given a tour of the crushing plant while operating. They were amazed at all the different activities and the size of equipment being used to move aggregate from location to location. After a pizza lunch in our equipment shop the kids were able to view a production blast. Thank you to teachers and students at Oak Hill Elementary for allowing Hinkle to share a day with you.
Hinkle in conjunction with the Bourbon County Chamber of Commerce presented to high school juniors from Bourbon County and Paris City Schools. Students got to see a video depicting blasting, crushing, quality assurance and control, screening operations at our various quarries along with the manufacturing of asphalt paving materials. After the presentation students travelled to our Bourbon Limestone quarry.

Each year, Hinkle sponsors Angel Tree children from Bourbon County and employees are given a $100 gift card to shop for a child chosen by the employee. The Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys for children of families in need. Hinkle is passionate and proud to give back to our Bourbon County community!
